Goji Cashew Trail Mix

I take this mix with me just about every time I go hiking or snowshoeing. It’s a great boost of sustained energy that’s delicious, low in sugar and loaded with superfood goodness. The cashews and coconut provide a rich buttery flavor, which is rounded out by the tart sweetness of goji berries and a chocolate undertone from the cacao – perfect balance.

Goji Berries
Considered the number one food-herb in traditional Chinese medicine, goji berries are one of the most nutritionally-rich fruits, providing you with a healthy boost of vitamins, trace minerals, antioxidants and anti-aging benefits.

Raw Cacao Nibs
An incredible health food in its natural state, pure chocolate provides natural energy and supports heart health. Mineral-rich and filled with antioxidants that protect our bodies from free-radical damage, cacao even helps our brains create Anandamide, also known as the “Bliss Chemical.” While raw cacao can contain some caffeine, it is very little – from zero to one part per million, which is less than 1/20th as much as coffee. In addition, the caffeine in cacao does not stimulate the nervous system or affect blood sugar like caffeine from other sources does.

Coconut Flakes
